Blenheim
There are a couple of aspects to life in Blenheim that are very appealing to many: sunshine and being in the wine-producing region of Marlborough. Blenheim is Marlborough’s largest town and has much to offer whether you like a glass of wine or not. About 5km from Blenheim is the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, which houses Sir Peter Jackson’s collection of aircraft and artefacts from the First World War. If you would like some exercise, head to the Wither Hills Farm Park, which has walking and mountain bike tracks on a working farm. And if you’re in Blenheim in early February, then the Marlborough Wine and Food Festival is a great place to be if you like delicious food and world-class wine. Be sure to book your tickets in advance as they’re very popular!
