Taranaki
Taranaki is a region that people fall in love with when they visit. It truly is remarkable in that it has incredible surfing, magnificent beaches, glorious farmland, and of course, the stunning Mt Taranaki. If you’re into beaches, then the popular Back Beach is a must visit.
The city of New Plymouth has the coastal walkway that is great for a walk, run or cycle along. And there’s also the enthralling Len Lye Centre, based at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, where work by artist Len Lye is on display. If you love great music, art and dance then the world famous WOMAD artist festival in Brooklands Park is a must. Anyone who lives in Taranaki will know how brilliant a region it is.
