Steve and I have been married for almost 42 years and are semi-retired parents and grandparents. We are young at heart and enjoy spending time with our family, grandchildren, and friends. Steve is a part time IT contractor and often works from home. I also work part time, as a self employed private house cleaner. Working part time gives us both the freedom to enjoy not only our hobbies and interests but the grandchildren as well - we often pick them up from school and spend time together. Steve & I both have several different hobbies and interests that we enjoy when we have the chance. I enjoy reading, listening to music, knitting, English paper piecing, hand quilting, and cardmaking. Steve has a great interest in NZ Railway History, railway modelling, listening to music, and gardening. We both enjoy an active lifestyle - anything that involves walking - as well as visiting local garage sales and markets. We have housesat for family and cared for their pets, and we have had cats & birds almost all of our married life. We have been dog sitting our grandchildrens’ wee dog on several occasions over the last 2 years. Campbell and Sheridan are a quiet, active, mature couple who have retired from teaching and midwifery. In the past we have owned a small lifestyle block on which we ran dry stock, raised calves, tendered to our chickens. Our black Labrador, Luke enjoyed farm life along with his pal Smoky our cat which out lived him by reaching the grand age of 18. Presently we are pet free due to a clause we have in a crosslease agreement forbidding animals. However we frequently look after our daughters family dog Mia an anxious Labradoodle and a frisky cat called Misty. Campbell and Sheridan haven enjoyed their experiences looking after these much loved pets and would feel privileged to look after your treasured pets. We are home owners ourselves and are aware of the responsibilities of keeping your home clean and tidy. We have done, two year long teacher exchanges to the UK and Canada. House and car exchange was part of the deal. Air BNB house owners have given us excellent reviews following our stays at their properties. We have had positive feedback from homeowners as we have kept gardens tidy and get satisfaction from leaving a home cleaner than when we arrived. We keep good health and love exploring new areas.I am known to walk for many miles and we have our own bikes. I am a well experienced ,active retired Nurse who has her own small life style block where l encouraged nature, caring for animals and actively tramping with my two daughters . Because l travelled abroad with my Nursing qualifications (my daughters had left the nest l) l realised the adventure of house sitting with my profession went hand in hand . I travelled around Australia and with word of mouth, mainly my work colleagues l found another roll in taking care of a variety of animals / pets and then took an active roll after l was retired going to Europe with another house sitting organisation. I enjoy house-sitting - helping others, particularly with pets and garden so that they feel better about being away from home. I have been house-sitting, almost continuously since January 2023. So far, no problems with any of the pets! Walking dogs and throwing ball for them - especially the large ones. Cats usually end up on the bed (at my feet) I really don't mind. I see this as assisting owners while they are away so they do not have some of the problems (and costs) of boarding for their pets. Cats, dogs (including walks), birds, chooks, fish - all OK. Prepared to handle others as well as long as it is not too difficult. I am honest, trustworthy and loyal but the real expectation is that I will deal confidently and lovingly for your pets (and garden, if required). As far as possible, all actions will be based on the Terms and Conditions of the agreement, with the full understanding that where decisions need to be made in a hurry, these can only be based on expectations of a reasonable person under the circumstances. I only need a comfortable bed and the essential cooking facilities. Preferably uncapped internet - not that I watch movies but sometimes it is easier to use TV streaming if 'walkies' coincides with a program that I might like to watch. Hi, we are Karla and Peter. After many years of owning and operating a motel, working 7 days a week, we are ready to get out and about enjoying our beautiful country and meeting new people. Hello my name is Dave! I am a very healthy and fit retired builder/joiner. For 30 years I ran my own building and joinery company. I have been living in Australia and have recently returned as the heat was too much for me! My lovely wife passed away a few years ago after 47 years of marriage. As I am on my own I feel housesitting would be a wonderful way for me to meet new people and see a little bit of New Zealand. House sitting is such a wonderful win-win for all parties involved and since I have no ties, I am able to have the pleasure of helping homeowners go away, care for their beloved pets and home, whilst being able to explore my own 'back yard'. I am a young and active senior who retired at Christmas 2021, I had worked with Ontario's largest Children's Mental Health Agency for 18 years. I am a non smoker and tea total (well coffee addict). I arrived in back NZ early 2022 after spending 19 years in Canada. My husband passed away in 2021. Quite the battle to get into MIQ to return home, with the lotto draw they installed !!! I house sat before leaving for Canada in Omokoroa and Mount Maunganui. One was an Avocado Orchard and they had 70 Parrots in aviaries on the property, such fun. I have been the proud owner of 5 rescue Old English Sheepdogs.. not all at the same time !!!! so I know about grooming. My last dog Boomer was 116lbs, (52.5kg) a big strong boy and the light of our lives. In 2020 we started to foster dogs brought up from Texas from the "high kill" pounds. Copper was our first, A Walker Coon Hound... never heard of them before and what a delight with his howl. I will leave your home as you left it though I do enjoy gardening and cleaning windows... My hobbies are reading, walking, knitting and TV..... I am a friendly person. get on with most people, I am the listener not the talker... I grew up in UK, came to NZ and then followed my son to Canada. Just went for a holiday and met my husband, tore up my ticket and stayed put for 19 years....... I consider NZ home..... Greg and I have decided to retire early after years of running our own business to take time together an enjoy life.We have run our accommodation business In Napier for 20 years and have also had other business which have taken alot of our time. He is very active and we walk twice a day. I volunteered for the Golden Retriever rescue for 6 years interviewing adopters, walking the goldens, and picking up very frightened goldens from shelters to bring into our rescue. I have always had a cat, the one before our 10 yr old Ricky was 19 when he passed on. I also grew up with chooks. I am a competent horse rider and will consider looking after most animals. Hi my name is Jack and I'm looking for house sitting arrangements as part of a way to explore this country. Im a keen and active rugby player in England and I have worked and saved hard to travel to New Zealand for your summer. I work in a dog friendly hotel in many high responsibility roles such as, office work, resident management, general maintenance of rooms and gardening, barman and management of deliveries. A 'jack' of all trades, no pun intended! In these positions, personal hygiene is a must and something i personally take pride in. As we are a dog friendly hotel, even when I am at work I am still providing and caring for dogs. At home I take care of 3 dogs, a young puppy a middle child and a senior dog who requires extra attention. she takes regular medication which I administer and monitor. she recently had a large swelling in her face, a cyst of sorts which meant the use of other specialist antibiotics and ointments had to be used. Growing up I have never been without dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them. I am very active with them with regular walks. I love spending time with dogs and would like to have the opportunity to have this companionship along my travels. I will not be working in the time of house sitting arrangements so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets should they be used to/need a lot of attention. we have a resident cat at the hotel as well which I am responsible for too. In terms of house care I am used to living on my own, washing, cleaning, bins, Laundry etc, so your house will be in safe hands along with your pets. If you were to choose me as your house sitter you can be guaranteed peace of mind knowing your dogs would be in very safe and experienced care. I am very proactive and confident in my duties.

Over our married life we have had several family pets. Cats include Goldie, Pearl and Tiddles. One of our dogs was a Lab named Sheeba and the most recent was a pure Maltese named Snowflake. Snowflake died of old age at almost 17. While our kids were growing up we had goldfish in an outdoor pond and a cockatiel inside. Cam and I(Meg) are long term renters and through working seasonally we have lived in multiple peoples personal homes (i.e. not strictly rental properties) while they have relocated elsewhere for the respective season. Through these living arrangements we have felt fortunate to have a close relationship with the homeowners, which for us, creates a deeper respect of the property and the things living on it (some previous examples include many plants and a cat). As a house sitter you can expect us to care for your space like it is our own, to the standards you expect. If you have animals or plant friends that need to be cared for you can trust that they will be in good hands. We have had multiple animals throughout our lives and have both worked with animals of all kinds, ranging from lizards to livestock and are definitely not strangers to some of the less glamorous aspects of pet ownership (i.e. waste cleanup, mild illnesses, etc.) Please consider allowing Cam and I to care for your home, as travelers it is such an amazing way to spend time in places where we will be temporarily and we always intend to leave a space better than when we arrived! Kia ora everyone. My name's Jenny, and I am a former Dental Nurse from Wellington who is now living and studying a double business major in Whanganui, New Zealand. I moved back to Aotearoa after spending 10 years in Melbourne, Australia where I enjoyed looking after lots of beautiful pets (and even 3 llamas and a goat!). My biggest passions in life, apart from caring for animals, are spending time with friends and family, live music, reading, cooking, and traveling around the beautiful country I grew up in. I am a very fit and active retiree. I left the workforce eight years ago to travel to various parts of the world, including some of NZ which I hadn’t yet been to. I have been involved in sport all my life and interested in organics and sustainabilities for many years, so decided to become a Woofer (Willing Worker On Organic Farms). I have thoroughly enjoyed all my placements in NZ, Australia, USA and Portugal. I have visited places and met people that I would never had the chance as a tourist and learnt about growing fruits, vegetables and raising animals in an totally organic and sustainable manner. I have looked after many animals and learnt how to give back to the land for future harvests. Six years ago in 2018 I bought a lifestyle property in the Far North, so have not been able to travel as much, or house sit as I used to, while working hard on my land. Now however I have more spare time, & look forward to being able to travel in NZ. I currently work on my orchard of 100+ trees of every description imaginable, & 4 large vegetable plots. I farm totally organically, eat in season, & am self sufficient(++) with fruit, vegetables & eggs from my 5 chickens. I am able to swap my excesses for milk, meat, cheese & bread! I feel very fortunate. I also have extra acreage which I use for growing grass, (local farmer makes hay in summer). I have also done two caminos (long walks) in both France, and Portugal into Spain. These were 750 and 700km respectively, in 2014 & 2017. My most recent was from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I have been a proud homeowner since 1980. As a house sitter, you will have someone with old fashion values of care & respect for your property, a good work ethic, totally reliable & honest. As for pets, when my children were growing up, we had a Staffordshire bull terrier, rabbits, cats, cockatiel and baby goats. Currently I have 5 chickens. While woofing I have looked after lots of dogs, cats, goats (learnt to milk), chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, and loved all those times. My woofing hosts would sometimes leave me to house sit at weekends, or in one case, for 10 days when an unavoidable event happened. On that occasion I looked after a small farmlet of goats, cows chickens, vegetable garden, orchard....the entire property. I loved the challenge and was totally equal to the task of overall management. I love outdoors work. Obviously I enjoy walking, so dogs love me for their twice daily long walks. Hi our names are Maryna and Neil, We are a retired couple and feel it is our time to discover the rest of New Zealand and while doing that, do what we enjoy and that is looking after peoples pets and a little gardening while we at it. We immigrated here 18 years ago and have been living in the Catlins ever since so love to explore . As we do not have animals of our own (not by choice) this will also give us a great opportunity to enjoy other people's pets while we are on breaks. We are reliable and trustworthy and are managing a holiday park in the Catlins. This is a 24/7 entity and being in hospitality means we know what is expected from cleanliness and client communication. Neil is a handyman and extremely keen garderner so finds himself very busy most of the time. We both are pet lovers and with previous housesitting experience in London, South Africa and in the Catlins, we have done a lot of dog walking, cuddling cats and even looked after pigs, horses and chickens. We both love fishing and used to take our doggies with us (back in South Africa) so they could have a good run around, and when given the chance they would steal some of our catch! Both David and I grew up in cities, he in Illinois and me in Massachusetts. We met in the US Navy. David and I retired as Lieutenant Commanders from the United States Navy in 1994. Our duty stations have included Adak, Alaska; Norfolk, Virginia, Pensacola, Florida; and Honolulu, Hawaii. After retiring, I started and taught a Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Class at a Hawaii High School. We then moved to Billings, Montana, where we lived from 1996 to 2001. When our youngest of two children graduated from high school, we moved to rural Montana and built a log home, where we have lived since 2001. We have1 dog (miniature poodle), and numerous outdoor cats. I have also had birds (cockatiel, parakeet, finch & canary), guinea pigs and fish as pets. David also has a knowledge of beef cattle, goats, ducks, and chickens. My hobbies include vegetable gardening, bird watching, and needlework. David's main hobby is wood working. He works part time as a ranch hand and does odd jobs such as carpentry, plumbing and repairs. He has worked at farming for local ranches and has knowledge and can repair most farm machinery. We both spent 12 years as members of the local volunteer fire department, he as chief, and me as secretary treasurer. I also ran the weekly senior meal program in our small community for 17 years. Our son is a resident of New Zealand who met his New Zealand wife in Osan Korea. They live in Dunedin where he works at the University of Otago, and she is a teacher at a local school. This will be our fifth visit to New Zealand, and we have seen a lot of the country in the previous 3 visits. My sons' children are 20, 18, and 16. They live at the University. We have travelled internationally for both business and family overseas, as well as extensively throughout New Zealand, and having lived long spells in Wellington, Auckland and now retired to Bay of Plenty. With the family overseas, often our time away has been for up to 3 months, and on those occasions we have had friends and others staying at our home. We know what it is like to make your home available to others who you are familiar with and some who you are not but still have that small apprehension about whether it will be ok. We know how you are feeling making this commitment. We have been long term dog and cat owners, and currently regularly play house parents to a friend's dog. Walking and appropriate exercise is not a problem. Other friends also call on us to house sit and mind their precious moggy, often for longer periods. Growing up, my family had a Samoyed dog and two cats. My father was also the local dog walker and I often walked the dogs as well. When I was a stay at home mum,I developed a reputation for being a foster mother for many animals. I have adopted bunnies, guinea pigs and 8 hens from friends who could no longer care for their animals. On top of this, I transformed our 1/4 acre section into a stunning garden and started a tutoring business. When friends went away,I would care for their animals either at their homes or at my home. Once I looked after a rabbit that needed daily injections for eight weeks . Currently, I am a house owner and I have a rental property in Auckland.I also teach full-time at a girls school and am responsible for the learning support department. With the goal of one day retiring outside of Auckland I would love an opportunity to look after someone else’s home and animals and explore other parts of the country. I am in my happy place with animals and nature and I am very fit, energetic and reliable. I enjoy road cycling, walking, yoga and swimming. My day typically starts at 5.30 am with a walk before work and finishes with another walk and sometimes yoga. At weekends, I cycle regularly 50 -70 kms for leisure. I am a full time Mum (with a background in Event Management), my husband owns his own building company. We usually stay in air bnbs, but house sitting would help us out immensely. We are home owners in Wanganui and we have also extensively used air bnbs to take our girls on mini breaks away. All our reviews from staying in different homes have been A+. We also personally keep a very tidy, organised, clean home in Wanganui. Although we don't own a lot of pets (currently two cats), we love animals! We are very caring by nature and very frequently visit friends farms in Wanganui who have a wide range of pets/farm animals which our girls love to experience. Sometimes myself and the girls would house sit, other times my husband would also join us (depending when the visiting falls in the calendar as my husband is a full time builder so can't always join us on school holidays). Homeowners can expect honest, reliable, communicative, kind sitters from the Singleton family. Hi My name is Susan. I am an Aucklander and I love to travel when I can. I grew up always having cats and dogs as part of the family. When I was married and we bought our first house, having pets was a top priority. After 3 years we had 3 cats (Tabby, Tina and Kate) and 2 Beagles (Tony and Lucy). I have mainly worked in Computer and Project environments but after studying one year part time for an Animal Care certificate I worked 5 days a week in my normal job and 1 day at a well established and reputable Vet clinic in Remuera. By this stage I was divorced and the family consisted of the beagles, Tabby and me. I have also been a volunteer kennel assistant at SPCA. I am comfortable giving medication to pets and have looked after cats, dogs, birds, fish and rats. All of my animals have lived a happy and long life. Tony suffered from cancer later in his life but with care and chemo from VSG and at home he got a new lease of life and was with me for another 2 years of quality time. I no longer have pets of my own so I would really love the opportunity to care for yours, either outside of Auckland when I ready for a break or in Auckland for a 'staycation' I am mature, responsible, respectful and resourceful. Hi I have lived in Hamilton, New Zealand all my life and I am married to Nick for 33 years and we have grown up children, a daughter and two sons and I thought it would be fun to housesit as a way to see NZ. Our daughter is married and living in Christchurch and we have one grandchild. I enjoy walking and going to daily gym classes and my husband enjoys long bike rides. We are very active. I managed a house we own as an Airbnb for over two years managing bookings per night so I know what is involved in caring for a home. I have dealt with many different nationalities and many situations that arise from having a home on Airbnb. I ensured our Airbnb house was clean and well presented and that the garden was appealing and well managed. I have always had pets those being cats, dogs, chickens, canaries, goldfish - although we do not presently have a pet as sadly our beautiful 14 year old dog Bosco passed away this year My husband is experienced in managing livestock as he was brought up on a farm. I know how to care for animals giving them time, exercise, fresh water and good food. I am also aware of the signs of when a pet is feeling unwell and when to take to the vet. Hello, we are Julie and Colin Brown. We retired to Manapouri. Fiordland 18 months ago. Prior to that we lived in Invercargill, when looking at retirement we decided to upgrade our family crib (bach) and move to live near our much loved Lake Manapouri. We have some spare time on our hands and decided that house sitting would be a way to get out and see more of New Zealand, to meet new people, see new places and make the most of our retirement. We had to say goodbye to our much loved 18 year old cat Connor a few months before we moved to Manapouri, so that was very sad. We have inherited quite a cats over the years, usually arriving at our home via the children and then we were left in charge. Colin has a bit of an affinity with birds, me not so much, although according to my mother our farm hens always loved me and followed me around.. We enjoy the company of dogs (nothing like a nice chat to a dog) and we both enjoy walking. We no longer have our own pet, but by looking after yours we still get to have that animal contact. Our animals of choice would be cats or dogs. We both enjoy being outdoors and Colin has a great vegetable garden and tunnel house. My garden these days is much smaller than it used to be but I still love getting out and poking around in it. We also both make use of the biking and walking trails in our area. and hope this summer we will get to make more use of the lake and get out to do some fishing. Colin is a keen whitebaiter, so definitely no house sitting for us in September or October (unless you have a stand nearby) that he can use. We would look after your home and animals as if they and it were our own. Neither of us have ever smoked, we do both socially drink wine or beer but otherwise feel we have no vices. We are clean, tidy, respectful and responsible. We would hope that you could feel secure to comfortably leave us to care for your animals and home.

Hello House and Pet Owner. I am a recently retired lady who has plenty time now to care for your home and pets. Growing up on a dairy farm saw me having cats, dogs, chickens, cows, a horse, alpacas. Recently my 15 coloured sheep and their new lambs have been sold. Caring for others (humans and animals) is what I do best.. Until his recent death I cared for my 86 yr old family friend who had health problems. This enabled him to remain living in his own home. I supported him with his pet dog care, shopping, finances, house work, gardening and companionship for the last 10 years on a regular basis. I’m a tidy, quiet, non drinker, non smoker vegan and very reliable. Hobbies are reading, walking, cycling, travel and gardening. Family is important to me so I like visiting my 4 siblings and my 4 children. I have my own car and drivers licence so should your pet become ill during your absence I can easily take them to your designated Vet for treatment. Aside from 15 years as a dairy farmer and 20 years as a landlord my working life has included responsible professional roles of legal secretary and banking consultant which are proof of my high degree of honesty, integrity and excellent communication. I’m eager to take care of your pets and home for you. I’m hoping my house sitting will take me to many beautiful places with beautiful pets. Kia Ora, we, that is Kat (44), Andy (44) and our kids Finn (9and Zoë (6) have immigrated from Germany in 2013 (both kids were born here). We now live in our own house in Rolleston/Christchurch and would be delighted to take care of your loved ones and/or look after your property while you are on holiday, so we can get to know the country and have some time off as well. So far, we have done eight house-sits (also through other housesitting websites). Our responsibilities included caring for cats, keeping the garden nice and tidy, and managing an AirBnB while the homeowners were away. While we don't have pets ourselves (except an aquarium); we do love them and like to do stuff whatever is required to keep them happy and entertained. Kat grew up on a farm, so we are 'trained' in lifestyle animals as well. The pets need to be comfortable around kids though. They, in return, are also very gentle to them. We are non-smokers and own a small house ourselves. It goes without saying, that we will take good care of your home while you are away. We are a couple in our late 20s and early 30s living in Wellington. We love housesitting because it combines two of the things we both really love; travelling and pets. Due to our current migratory situation we do not have pets and house sitting is a way we can enjoy the company of animals and explore new suburbs. We have both had dogs and cats in the past. Nachi has also volunteered with the SPCA where she looked after chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs amongst others. She also attended a farm school and has experience caring for farm animals. We believe that animals are part of the family and will go above and beyond to ensure they are well looked after and don't miss their human family too much while you are away. We have been housesitting since June 2021 and have become the biggest fans of it. We love being able to meet and spend time with many different fur-friends. Our days just wouldn't be fulfilled without some fur-company. We simply are animal people who love the opportunity to care for them while their family is away. We are the lucky ones. We get to travel, explore new places, meet new people and look after your pets. My husband Steve and I have 4 grown up daughters, and 3 delightful grandchildren. We have worked hard in our lives, and our time to explore, travel and see our beautiful country is now. We have both been brought up on Dairy and Sheep/Beef farms. We have a small lifestyle block (12 acres) near Taupo where one of our adult children lives. We are very experienced with animals and currently have on our farm, horses, cows, a dog, chickens and a couple of cats. We have previously had beef steers and sheep, including lambing. We have a deep love of animals and both Steve and I are active relaxers, which means your dogs will get loads of walking, activities and cuddles while you are away. We are confident with large animals and will not hesitate to phone a vet in any circumstance. We will love and care for your animals (slightly obsessed with them), so you can go and enjoy travelling of your own. We are very tidy and will take great care of your home. Past house sitting experience, France, for a friend on his farm, feeding chickens, cat and general care of his organic vegetable garden. Two weeks in 2013. was in Great Barrier Island, another friend who runs a retreat center called Wai Ora set on Medlands beach, this involved, keeping an eye on solar power system, security, garden, compost and the cat! Two weeks 2014. Other times in Auckland, while a friend visited UK, collected mail, fed cat, clean house, water plants, this lasted five weeks. At present restoring a colonial house in Leigh area, caring for cats, little goats, chickens and a dog, since then work has stopped. My latest Housesit was in Western Springs for ten days, the ginger cat Lucy had a stroke so needed a lot of care. Lucy loved to sleep on the bed with me, I loved having her close. The other cat Diesel was more independent. My other duties were watering the garden and collecting the mail. Also over the Xmas new year period I went to houses with sole purpose of feeding, patting and caring for four different cats. Also specialise in turtle minding, feeding for my son and his girlfriend. I am an animal lover who is kind and considerate who will care for your pets and house with love. Vanessa grew up in Mount Maunganui and Tauranga but has more recently lived in Otago for the last 20 years. Marcel has lived in Otago most of his life. My reputation as an Airbnb guest is positive, with excellent reviews from homeowners in both New Zealand and Australia. As I travel frequently, I am unable to have any pets of my own. However, I regularly care for two cats in Wellington, a British Blue, and my 104-year-old grandmother's cat, Jetty. In the Kimberley, I've looked after two Australian cattle dogs named Bonnie and Clyde when their owner needed to travel to Perth for medical treatments. Growing up, our family had a mischievous and much-loved Golden Retriever called Ben. Later, I had Mingus, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Rottweiler cross. Although no longer practicing, it may be of some comfort to know that I studied Animal Nursing part-time over two years (1996 - 1997), during which time I worked in two veterinary clinics before embarking on overseas travels. This was some time ago but it's worth a mention as it demonstrates an interest in animal welfare.

The main reason being that we are animal lovers and Lesley especially is feeling pet deprived at the moment since having to put down our most adored cat Ginger 18 months ago. Kia Ora! We’re Emma and Elias, twins on tour through New Zealand with a working holiday visa, eager to explore the country and its people. Whilst looking for an accommodation we’ve stumbled upon house/pet sitting, which seemed perfect to us both. Both of us adore pets and animals in general and even though we only have fish at home;), both of us have plenty of experience, especially with dogs. I, Emma, did a school exchange in 2020 and lived in a family with 3 dogs (a husky and 2 adopted strays). I took care of them every day of the year, taking all three of them on long walks through the beautiful nature of Andalusia and still, almost three years later, I miss them dearly. I also made a habit out of going to the local Dog-Rescue-Center, taking little pups without a home on walks along the beach. I, Elias, have a close friend with 3 young australian shepherds. Back in Germany I joined them for a walk every day over the last year and cared for them whenever the family was away. I’ve helped educating them since the age of 12 weeks and went through all stages of adolescence with the little rascals. All three of them have a special place in my heart and they will be my first stop when this travel experience comes to an end. Even though both of us have more experience taking care of dogs, we have helped friends and family with cats whenever we had the chance to. If you choose us as sitters you can expect two young, responsible adults to take care of both your home and your animal/s with lots of love and passion. Both non smokers, enjoy clean living with clean criminal international and local records. We met in Malaysia while working as volunteers with cats and dogs for SPCA in early 2015. After that we did a period of volunteers with tigers in Thailand. Highlight of our lives. Great experience to be so close and intimate with a wild animals. Few scars but lived to tell all the tales. After we worked with them, cats and dogs are so easy. Next, hoping to spend some time with elephants. We have done home sitting in NZ as well as offshore in Europe and China as well as a 4 week stay in Malaysia. Although we like to travel, live clean and appreciate clean houses so your home will be looked after. Although not fantastic green fingers, we will happily mow your grass and pull a few weeds as required. As we both still work part time, appreciate wi-fi so we can still receive emails etc. Sky is not important cause we rather be outside enjoying open air as against watching TV. Also since 2017, a volunteer firefighter originally with Otorohanga but would consider helping any local volunteer brigade. Rem has in the past also looked after NZ Police dogs while their handler has gone on holiday so the average dog should be relatively easy. Happy to walk the dogs and where possible, take them to the beach if possible. Hopefully have secure parking for the BMW as well? Since Feb 2017 we have lived in Otorohanga and have looked after various local and surrounding properties. A 550 acre grazing farm and a very upmarket lifestyle house. Although it’s been fun here, we are ready for another area from now on. Long term housesits preferred but will consider short options as well. Yuling now lives in Wellington full time while Rem commutes.

I, Caroline Mundy, is a recently retired Civil/Structural engineer. I was born and raised in Malaysia, but went to Britain for my tertiary studies. I graduated from Cardiff University with an honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering and later gained a Masters degree in the same subject at Sheffield University. I am married to Chris Mundy, an editor at NZQA, Wellington. Chris and I grew up with pets in our families, and from this we gained a life-long love of animals. Over the years, we have had many different animals as pets, including a sheep which eventually died of old age!, a golden retriever, a duckling, rabbits, a weta and doves, all of which were much loved by us and our two children. We also adopted the school's cockatoo and axolotl during school holidays. We took our friend's cat to be with our family whilst they worked overseas. Sadly, our adorable all white cat named Pearl has passed away and we no longer have any pets. So, it would be really lovely to be able to look after someone else's pets. As we no longer have children living with us, we have more freedom to explore and travel to new places, which we both love doing. It also enables us to take a break from our rather busy lives by housesitting every now and then. Having pets with our accommodation is an added bonus to us. Hi, we're two active retirees who lost our wee mate, 14yr old Cavoodle, Riley, last year. So we are now doing a bit of travelling before committing again. Meanwhile, we've been getting our "doggie fix" from minding dogs for our friends, neighbours and even a motor home park which included two samoyeds! Prior to retiring, Ian has managed Waste and Transport companies and owned his own business and Pam has worked in the Airline Industry for the last 30 plus years. We both enjoy lots of outdoor exercise including dog walking, kayaking and mountain biking. We have done numerous house/pet sits already. We are loving the experiences, especially spending longer periods of time in different towns, cities and even the remotest areas getting to know neighbours and locals. We have a flexible timeline and a vehicle. ...a little about us. I am a NZ'er and a retired educator. Peter is canadian and a retired computer engineer. Our home base is on a small island in western Canada. We are homeowners and fully understand the housesitting social contract and responsibilities. We currently have trustworthy housesitters in our home while we are away. Peter and I, make a great housesitting team. I take the lead with the animal and home care, Peter supports me by playing with the pets and cuddle time. He also leads our dog walking explorations into nature. As our three children grew, our home was full of much loved animals. We had two family cats and two family dogs. Oliver, the cat was much loved in the neighbourhood. During the day he would sit by the gate, greet people, and beg for a pat. During the evening, when he was not snuggled up next to the dog, or swatting her tail, he would find a lap and stay there purring. He stayed in our family for 20 years. Lassie, a border collie/lab/husky cross is perhaps the most acclaimed of all our family pets. Our children still talk of her with great love. We adopted her when she was two years old. She 'heeled' with the click of a finger and kept guard over our children when they were young. She was the most amazing and lovable dog - her photo has an honoured place in our home. In the past, we have cared for cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, bees, chickens, ducks, fischers parrot, rabbits, and hamsters. The key in caring for pets is to have established expectations: food and exercise routines/cuddle times and ensure that animals have ample fresh water everyday. We love all animals and plants and can turn my hand to most tasks involved in caring for them. Also, I might add that I enjoy exploring regenerative agriculture concepts. I am a founding director of School Orchards Africa Society, in Tanzania. Having built our home and hobby farm, Peter is familiar with most house systems, on and off grid. He is a good guitar player. We're very experienced, never pulled out of a sit, and have great references and police checks available so you can have confidence that you're in good hands. We've looked after various property types before, anything from multi-story homes with gardens and pools, apartments or a secluded colonial era bed and breakfast, all the way to rural lifestyle blocks with farm animals and living partially off grid. Since returning to NZ our speciality has certainly been rural lifestyle blocks as we love the peace and quiet of the countryside and exploring nature. We're extremely well organised, tidy, honest, flexible and caring. You can expect to return to your home as clean as you left it, if not cleaner, and with very happy pets. We've never pulled out of a sit as we're extremely reliable and the last thing we'd want is for you to have an issue because of us before you go on holiday. Experienced in garden and lawn care, spa and pool maintenance, rain and bore water tank system monitoring, ant prevention and setting pest control traps. As previous homeowners, we have enough common sense to know when to tackle any maintenance issues which may arise and when to request advice. We're also happy to do turnover service if you operate an active Air BnB on your property. We'll require a reliable unlimited internet connection (as we work remotely) and off street parking for our car. As non-smokers we're not interested in any sits where you normally smoke/vape indoors.
