Hi, Nice People!! I am looking forward to looking after your home and your pets. After 21 years with an ex-farm girl / Vet nurse and with a menagerie of pets from; birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea-pigs and fish!!... I have learned a lot about the reciprocal love of animals. Particularly dogs.... I have loved and owned Boxers, labrador crosses and my special Staffy terrier mate I had for 17 years..... When I had her to put her to sleep in my arms....The vet told me I had extended the life of my little mate well beyond natural life expectancy.....Simple really just best food good exercise and lots of love. I do not have a pet anymore and the picture of me, is with my friend's two-year-old "Bernaise Mountain/ Ridge-back".... Largest dog I have ever walked and so well behaved. I am semi-retired from the construction industry... bottom to top! The last 20 as a Registered building Surveyor in my own company. (weathertightness specialist DIA, DBH, MBIE). I work from a home office only 15 hours a week from anywhere.... providing there is a good high-speed broadband. connection. I am a non-smoker, and a very light casual drinker... the odd Pinot Noir and a cold beer on a hot day. Very handy around the home and a bit of a "clean-a-holic"!! Good with grounds and cleaning up. I owned a 10 acre lifestyle block for 10 years. Certified Organic raised Highlanders and my wife operated a certified seedlings nursery.Totally trustworthy good communication and people skills. Looking forward to new adventures and careing for your home and your special mates as required.... Graham

I am a single mature female who loves travelling and looking after homes and pets around our beautiful country. I have been housesitting and have been doing so off and on for over 15 years. I am quiet tidy and respectful and will love your home like it was my own. Taking particular care to ensure it is beautiful to return to after your holiday. I have a farming background, I am a housekeeper for boutique 4-5 star resorts and enjoy the lifestyle I grew up in Nelson on a raspberry farm with horseriding a real passion. After my children left home I lived in a large mobile home living the dream travelling around the seasonal work route in the North Island. I can care for horses cattle and sheep if required. I also have experience living off grid with the different responsibilities that entails. I usually find casual work wherever I go or part time work to pay expenses. I would love to hear from you so please get in touch for a chat.

Kia Ora! I love exercising dogs and cuddling cats! Leave me with your house, loved ones and I will attend to them like yourself. Take comfort in enjoying your break with confidence all in order when you return. I'm Emily in my mid 30's, single and a non-smoker - available to house and pet sit for you city wide - ideally near the sea or bush where I can take your loved animal for regular exercise. I’m a responsible, church-going Christian and a female professional. Able to work from the city or from home if required. Even love to leave a treat in the fridge for you when you return. Emily

I am a trained registered nurse and have worked in hospitals in New Zealand and in London. In July 2003, I set up a pregnancy massage practice at Waterford Birth Centre. This was the happiest and most satisfying part of my professional life. I grew up with many cats and dogs as pets. If the cats became unwell I was the one that advocated for their treatment. I cared for chooks for about 7 years and greatly enjoyed their unique personalities. I currently have no animals but have frequently looked after a little dog called Esther for friends of the family. She was very elderly and she had a sweet temperament. Having had a busy professional life as a nurse and as a therapist, I have had to be organised, clean and tidy, not just at work but also at home. It is important to me to have a warm and beautiful environment around me and I will look after your home as if it were my own. My nursing background means that if your pet has medical needs, I am competent to administer insulin, give meds as well as love and care, and plenty of hugs. I am flexible to keep your pets company during the day and night depending on their needs. I look forward to meeting you and your pets very soon.

Hello! My name is Samuel and I am a responsible and retired teacher. I have experience with house sitting in diverse places such as cities, villages and rural lifestyle blocks. My hobbies include walking, enjoying nature, photography and reading. You can rely on me to lovingly care for your pets. I have enjoyed caring for a variety of pets, including fish, dogs, cats, chickens and parrots during house sitting assignments. Your pets will enjoy my company just as much as I will enjoy theirs. I will be in your home most of the time and care for it as if it is my own. I will deal with all emergencies and keep you informed while you are away. I can also take and fetch you from the airport and keep you updated by email. My aim is to give you complete peace of mind regarding the security of your possessions and the welfare of your pets so that you can enjoy your time away. A written check list will ensure your instructions are carried out to the letter. I have glowing contactable references from many house owners who have trusted me with their homes and pets. I am tidy, frugal in my use of water and electricity, a non smoker and have experience in pool maintenance and dog training. I have been a dog handler and cat breeder. I see house sitting as a community service to owners whose homes would otherwise be vulnerable to criminal invasion. It also gives me the opportunity to travel and befriend animals. Feel free to call my referees who will vouch for my honest character and skills as a trustworthy house sitter and pet minder. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets. Kind regards, Samuel Hartman

I am a single Mature Woman with with adult children who are happily living their own lives in Hamilton and Auckland. I worked for many years in the Hair and Beauty industry as a Hairdresser and Beauty therapist. I have owned business and employed staff in the past. I now work remotely for a septic tank cleaning company doing telemarketing and database management. During the Covid lockdown I revived my crafting stills creating some interesting upcycling projects. I had been asked by friends to housesit and care for their pets. It seemed a natural progression to I chose to housesit in anticipation of travelling and I joined an international housesitting site, meeting some fabulous people whilst in the UK in 2018. Many of these people I am still in contact with. On my return to New Zealand my desire to travel remained so I continued to move around seeing more of our beautiful Aotearoa. Among the animals I have cared for cats both indoor and outdoor, dogs large and small young and old, chickens ducks and fish and also some livestock. Returning to housesits many times means I have developed some great friendships with both the animals and their owners, and also in some cases neighbors and friends in communities. I look forward to meeting you your animals and experiencing the area that you call home.

Kia ora! I have recently returned to the Bay of Plenty, after living the last few years in Auckland. I have a permanent base in a unit beneath my parents in Whakamarama - while I save for my first, own home. I have been an animal lover most of my 30-something years, and REALLY look forward to when I am more settled so I may enjoy my own furry bundles! For now, I'd love to help take care of yours. I work remotely, so my work location is fairly flexible and I like the variety that housesitting provides. I enjoy being outside as much as possible (work and weather permitting) so I am more than happy to exercise furry friends as they need it. I have been a homesitter for more than 5 years (both here and abroad) and can provide additional references should you require them. I am a tidy, quiet and clean person. I would prefer to meet you and your furry ones pre-sit. I look forward to meeting you :)

I am a young and active senior who retired at Christmas 2021, I had worked with Ontario's largest Children's Mental Health Agency for 18 years. I arrived in back NZ early 2022 after spending 19 years in Canada. My husband passed away last year. Quite the battle to get into MIQ to return home, with the lotto draw they installed !!! I am currently living with my son and daughter in law, and it would be nice to spend time away on the odd occasion. I house sat before leaving for Canada in Omokoroa and Mount Maunganui. One was an Avocado Orchard and they had 70 Parrots in aviaries on the property, such fun. I have been the proud owner of 5 rescue Old English Sheepdogs.. not all at the same time !!!! so I know about grooming. My last dog Boomer was 116lbs, (52.5kg) a big strong boy and the light of our lives. In 2020 we started to foster dogs brought up from Texas from the "high kill" pounds. Copper was our first, A Walker Coon Hound... never heard of them before and what a delight with his howl. I will leave your home as you left it though I do enjoy gardening and cleaning windows... My hobbies are reading, walking, knitting and TV..... I am a friendly person. get on with most people, I am the listener not the talker... I grew up in UK, came to NZ and then followed my son to Canada. Just went for a holiday and met my husband, tore up my ticket and stayed put....... I consider NZ home.....

Hi there! My name is Suzanne and I have been house sitting fulltime in Whangarei, Warkworth, Whitianga and Papamoa for over eight years. I am a mature person on my own now, with no family ties. I especially love dogs and I am very experienced in caring for them and knowing their needs having owned dogs over many years. I had several Tibetan Spaniels and often looked after them for the Breeder. I also had a British bulldog, Janice Joplan, who was tremendous fun but very strong!! I grew up in Auckland and lived all over Auckland for some 45 years before moving to Mt Maunganui. I had a home in Ocean Downs for around 7 years before moving to Whangarei around 9 years ago. My daughter lived in the USA for many years and her children were all born there. Saddly I lost my daughter to cancer in January 2014. I have three grandchildren and two great grandchildren all living in the USA. As a teenager I was one of the first New Zealand trampoline champions, swam for New Zealand in Sydney at the Australian Swimming Championships. I was a New Zealand and Australian swimming champion, plus held several New Zealand swimming records. In 2003 I rode my Harley motorcycle across America with the Auckland Harley Owners Club, from L A to Milwaukee and back for the Harley Davidson 100th in Milwaukee. I also crewed on the Stewart 34 yachts racing out of Ponsonby Cruising club, did a couple of the Coastal Classic races, had tremendous fun. My working background is 25 years in the I.T. industry working as a Contract Programmer on IBM mainframes, plus was I.T. Manager for several large companies. It was a very exciting time to be in I.T. I did 6 years selling Real Estate on the North Shore Auckland and 3 years at Mt Maunganui. Semi retired I worked 4 years as a Receptionist in the Emergency Dept. Tauranga Hospital and then 9 years at Whangarei Hospital. I have been lucky in that I loved all my jobs and have met and made friends with wonderful people along the way. I retired May 2021 which frees me up to house sit in other areas. I love being retired!! Thank you for taking the time to consider my online profile. I am mature, reliable and would welcome the opportunity to take the stress out of your holiday by looking after your home and pets. Many of my house sitting jobs are repeats for the Nurses and Doctors I worked with. I am very capable at caring for a variety of circumstances and pets needs. I can supply verbal references from people I regularly house sit for if required. calm seas and fair breezes Suzanne.

I am a single retired lady. I was raised on a sheep farm in the Waikato and I live in the beautiful town of Cambridge, home of many talented athletes and famous horses. My earlier life involved horses, dogs, cats, chooks, and of course…sheep. I own my own home and run an Airbnb giving me the opportunity to meet many interesting people. I am an explorer by nature with a curious disposition and love to travel and have a good reliable car. My hobbies include gardening, music, tramping, cooking and reading I am fit and enjoy robust health. My working life ended last December (2021)when I retired from my position at the Waikato hospital with the desire to expand my knowledge of the country. I currently have ‘joint custody’ of the 2 cats pictured in my profile, they belong to my neighbour but they act like they own my home. They are not ‘lap cats ‘ one is more friendly then the other, but they delight me with their company every day, even scratching on the door in the morning to get in for attention, then they are gone.! I have experience with large and small dogs as we had a Samoyed dog, then a cocker spaniel, a big difference!

Hello there! I have been with The Housesitting Co since 2012 and love the variety of animals I get to look after. I packed up my own home and placed it all in storage and am now concentrating on house sitting to take care of your pets, as if they were my own. My name is Julie age 64 I am newly retired after 18 years in real estate and I would consider myself to be a mature, single adult with no dependents, as my boys have grown up and moved on. Over the years of housesitting, I have looked after, cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, mice, rats, and fish. So much variety, and so much fun. My years in real estate, will be an asset for the care of your home. As a family we have owned Jack Russells, English Bull Terrior, cats, mice, rats, canaries, finches and was brought up with tropical fish for most of my life. I would consider myself a private person. The last thing I want to do when I come home from work is socialise. To sit amongst family of pets is my ideal. Every animal is different, there are no two pets that have the same quirks. Looking after your loved ones is now my lifestyle choice and I love it. I get to meet, sit, walk and love so many pets, it really is a lovely way of feeling loved. When its time for me to pack up and leave, is it hard for me, as I feel i have grown a bond with them. If I am applying for your house sit, it is because I have either been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or I am free for your dates. I would consider myself popular with repeat and referrals, and because of that I am generally pre-booked a year in advance. I will water your plants, feed your pets, walk your dogs, tweet with the birds, blow bubbles at the fish and collect your mail. I always leave your home better than when I arrived. If you are looking for a single mature person with flexible hours, who will give a lot love to your loved ones, then I'm your lady. I look forward to hearing from you. Julie.

I am currently running my yoga online business from home and travelling around New Zealand filming my yoga classes, along the way I’m also taking a holiday as my children are all grown up, I’d love to stay in new towns around nz to experience the beauty within each town. I’m tidy and clean and lead a peaceful life. I love cats, my own cats have sadly passed on and I miss them so much. I would care for your home as if it was my own and be a lovely friend and care for your cat or cats should you have them. I also love larger dogs as I had a very athletic, both adventurous and laid back massive golden retriever Max, he went every where with me as we both loved to be out and about, equally he was happy to stay home and chill while I went out. Sorry I can’t connect as well with little dogs who need to be right with you all day.
